August has arrived, it is high summer and yet again we feel blessed if we are fortunate enough to have a garden! Right now, plants are flowering in abundance and the vegetable plot is in full production of tasty, healthy produce. So, let’s have a look at what we need to do to keep our garden looking fantastic!
As the school summer holidays are here, it could be a wonderful time to drag the kids away from their screens and enjoy the garden.
Hot weather will result in evaporation from garden ponds, so remember to ‘top up’ water levels. Remember too, to put out bird baths and a dish of water for hedgehogs.

‘National Afternoon Tea Week’ is celebrated in the UK from August 7th to August 13th and it is a chance to spoil ourselves with lashings of char and copious amounts of scones, cake and sandwiches … nothing wrong with that!
August is here and if its anything like the heat we experienced in July then we could be thinking about water shortages again!
