ATCO are proud to be partnering with The Royal British Legion in what is also their centenary year. Funds raised from partnered lawnmowers will ensure they can continue their vital work in tirelessly providing life-long support to the Armed Forces community.
Each mower will decorated with a unique logo to support the partnership.
The Royal British Legion is the UK’s largest Armed Forces Charity. They provide care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families.
Established in 1921, the Royal British Legion was born out of the First World War and was founded as a campaigning organisation, fighting for fair treatment of those who had given so much for their country, and provided much-needed welfare and comradeship to millions. 2021 marks the Legion's centenary year, when they will look back proudly at the work the charity achieved over the last 100 years, whilst also looking forward and highlighting why their work is now more important than ever.
Today, the Legion continues to be there for the Armed Forces community through thick and thin, providing life-changing support to veterans, serving and ex-serving personnel and their families. Over 90,000 people turn to them for help every year.
They provide support services ranging from physical and mental wellbeing, care and independent living, financial and employment support. local community connections and expert guidance. Through their campaign and policy work they champion key issues, giving our Armed Forces community a voice.
They are also the champions of Remembrance, remembering those who lost their lives on active service in all conflicts; from the beginning of the First World War right up to the present day, as well as all those who have served and their families. Every year they organise the Poppy Appeal, the Legion's biggest fundraising campaign, and lead the nation in commemorating and honouring those who have served and sacrificed.
"The Royal British Legion is the nation’s leading Armed Forces charity and has been supporting serving and ex-service personnel and their families for 100 years. We are delighted that our two centenaries are being marked in a way that will bring practical help to those in the Armed Forces community."
